Job Description

SummaryCelanese is seeking Millwright Journeypersons who will be integral to our project’s success, responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair and maintain equipment. Your expertise will support a range of activities which are critical to the safe operation of equipment on the project.Responsibilities

  • Operate rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts.
  • Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimeter tolerance).
  • Align and test equipment and adjust.
  • Perform preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Trouble-shoot hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls.
  • Tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
  • Perform field work to a high quality and provide thorough follow up with proper and efficient documentation of work.
  • Perform proactive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs for a wide range of Instrumentation and control equipment, such as Hydraulic operated valves, various pressure and flow measurements, radiation density Gauges, Radar level transmitters, CCTV monitoring systems, Computerized control systems.
  • Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.
Required Qualifications
  • Min 5 years as a journeyman industrial experience
  • Driver’s license
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Journeyman ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or Red Seal Journeyman
