Job Description

Park Paving Ltd. is currently hiring for the position of ESTIMATOR with our Estimating and Business Development Department.We have been locally owned and operated for almost 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are currently looking for a ESTIMATOR to work in our office working with our estimating team, and assisting the Department Manager.This is a perfect opportunity for recent CET graduates!PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned estimates--includes turning successful tenders into internal jobs/projects
  • Completing entire tender proposal package submissions. This includes all schedules, rates, and lists required for tender submission
  • Referencing historical cost and production to current cost estimates
  • Working with other estimators and company employees for major tenders
  • Maintaining sound knowledge of the current market and subcontractors
  • Recommending project subcontractors and suppliers
  • Completing post-bid analyses.
  • Reviewing cost reports and forecasts for future cost estimate assembly
  • Tracking bidding success and percentages, and analyze fiscal period bid performance
  • Review contract terms and conditions to evaluate corporate risk
