Please take a look at our current opportunities.Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking applications for Labourers for our Fabrication Shop in Nisku, AB.Yard labourer typically works in outside conditions and is responsible for organizing yard, housekeeping, heating and hoarding, fuelling equipment, handling materials and incoming records. Shipping responsibility includes material packaging, lubricating, banding pallets, unloading tractors, material placement.Follows safe work and quality policies and procedures in the delegation of work assignment.

  • Takes instructions from the immediate Supervisor to complete tasks as outlined daily.
  • Attend required meetings as requested.
  • Perform a variety of activities involving mild, medium, and/or heavy physical labour.
  • Make sure the onsite workers have all the equipment, materials or supplies assessable throughout the day.
  • Assist in onsite site material transfer and handling.
  • Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Reconcile, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other document
  • Confirm material accuracy and documentation.
  • Organize and maintain material lay down areas as required by project.
  • Organize and inventory BFL tools, and safety equipment.
  • Organize and maintain Tool crib.
  • Set up Heaters
  • Fuel Equipment
  • Place tarps and tie down for heating/ hoarding
  • Prepare crates for material transfer and project requirements.
  • Organize scrap, recycling and garbage disposal as required to maintain good housekeeping.
  • Maintains fluency in construction safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor on site.
  • Operate forklift or other equipment to unload, transport and store goods.
