As one of the largest real estate services companies, we provide management and development expertise exclusively for properties owned by Brookfield Asset Management.Job DescriptionYour TeamReporting directly to the Site Manager, the Labourer (6 Month Contract) performs comprehensive housekeeping duties on the interior and exterior of homes to ensure home is clean and presentable at all times, the construction site is tidy and safe, and clear of debris and hazards.Your Key DeliverablesConstruction:Collect and dispose of debris at construction sites complying with waste recycling programsPerforms scheduled cleaning activities in units under constructionSet up heat and hoarding, as requiredAssist team members in miscellaneous tasks, if neededQuality Control:Ensure any excess materials are moved to the next site for use and the Site Manager is notified of the material countEnsure garbage collection bins are used efficientlyReporting:Inform and report on Site Management Team on site conditionsReport any onsite safety concerns to immediate supervisorParticipate in safety inspection programs and trainingRelationships:Develop and build working relationship with managers, construction team and tradesMust Haves1+ year of construction experience and/or vocational trainingAbility to work in a fast pace and physically demanding environmentKnowledge of multiple trades functions and use of toolsEffective customer service and communication skillsAbility to perform physical duties, to take directions, and to work in a team environmentAbility to work at various locationsValid drivers license and vehicleThe position will include the following physical requirements:Walk uneven terrainClimb stairsLift/push/pull up to 100 poundsAbility to hear for safety reasons- hearing aids are acceptableVision- 20/20 and is acceptable if they are wearing glasses or contactsCrawl- maneuver through difficult areasKneel downClimb up and down a ladderWe are proud to create a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
