We are on a mission to revolutionize highway safety and efficiency and we are looking for great talent to be part of our success story!About the role:The Logistics Assistant will manage the shipping and receiving for our warehouse. The role will be accountable to prepare and process all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role will also support production activities and have the ability to adapt to a constantly changing workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy, cleanliness, and safety.Location: Head Office, EdmontonReport to: Field Service CoordinatorDirect reports: NoneKey Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all shipping, receiving and shop maintenance including but not limited to:
  • Organizing and processing receipt of incoming shipments and warehouse inventory.
  • Assist with deliveries of shipments, moving skids into the disposal and assisting drivers with loading or un-loading.
  • Prepare items for shipping, creating equipment and wrapping skids.
  • Coordinate all outgoing company shipments with couriers, including preparing customs documentation. Process orders and documents for export in the applicable system.
  • Verifies what was received against purchase order and shipping documents. Escalates to purchaser when quantity does not match what was ordered.
  • Receive all incoming shipments on behalf of the company, verifying shipments against documents and authorizing the correctness of the delivery order.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the shipping and shop area.
  • Provide support to logistics Coordinator as required in addition to other duties as assigned.
  • Provide support to production and testing as required in addition to other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
  • Receiving, stocking, and stacking
  • Pulling, packing, and loading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Health and safety mindset with strong adherence to work procedures and processes.
  • Ability to self-direct activities and to work effectively independently or in a team setting.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Requirements:
  • 2 years logistics, retail, or customer service experience
  • High school diploma required; Associates degree beneficial.
  • Forklift operator certification an asset.
  • Word processing, database, and spreadsheet knowledge.
Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid drivers license is a requirement for this job.
  • Clean background check
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May be asked to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.
