We are looking for qualified, dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses or RN students to provide casual and part-time nursing care to our clients in their residences.Position: - You would be required to work overnight shifts helping the client with his AM or PM routine. You will assist him with his in/out catheter and other duties as required. The visits are 9-12 hours in length, and you get paid 1.5 hours for travel.(3.5 hours paid + Travel allowance) approx. 9pm-7am- Quadriplegic client- Medication Administration- Transfers- Bowel Routines- Range of Motion Exercising- Wound CareJob Duties: - Assess clients to identify necessary level of care;- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate client care in consultation with clients and their families;- Identify and respond to issues affecting client safety;- Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in clients condition;- Make recommendations for changes to the care plan;- Administer medication and treatments including as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols;- Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment;- Perform other nursing duties as determined in the care plan;- Delegate nursing interventions to qualified health care personnel in accordance with criteria.Skills and Personal Attributes;- Very strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a diverse client group;- Extremely client and teamwork focused;- Strong listening, verbal and writing skills;- Proficient in Windows-based software programs;- Confident in delegating tasks to health care staff;- Experience in home care is desirable.Position Requirements: - Completion of an approved registered nursing program; or completion of a 2nd Year RN program- Current registration and practice permit with CLPNA;- Valid CPR certificate- Yearly flu shot, and COVID vaccinations- Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector;- 3 year TB test;- Possession of a valid drivers license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.This position is in Morinville, AB.
