Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Associate. Location: Edmonton-Alberta. Position Type: Part-Time (16-22 Hours per week). Reports To: Facilities Coordinator.About Us:This Organization is committed to providing safe, functional, and welcoming environments for both our clients and staff. We operate clinical and administrative spaces that support health, wellness, and community services. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Associate to help keep our facilities running smoothly.Position Summary:The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our clinical and office buildings. This includes ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of all facility systems and spaces. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and comfortable working in a healthcare and office environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Weekly walkthroughs of the buildings to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related repairs.
  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to urgent repair requests or facility issues.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed, including emergency exit lighting, fire extinguishers, and other building code requirements.
  • Maintain grounds and seasonal tasks (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Keep maintenance logs, documentation, and inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure clinical and office spaces are clean, secure, and operational.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications an asset.
  • 2+ years of building maintenance experience, preferably in clinical, healthcare, or office environments.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions (for outdoor tasks).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver #39;s license (if travel between sites is required).
Working Conditions:
  • May involve standing, walking, climbing ladders, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for urgent repairs or scheduled maintenance.
