The opportunity:Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Operator will work independently to perform maintenance, repairs and inspections for the assigned properties in the Edmonton area (Edmonton, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Acheson) to maintain a clean, safe, and presentable centre for the tenants and their customers. Required to utilize and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance manuals, schematics, work requests and to complete documentation on work performed. A majority of the Operators time will be spent at a single site (Namao Centre: Retail & Office). Other duties include:
  • Provide safe, clean and well-maintained common facilities including the workshops/mechanical rooms (maintenance, repairs, painting, watering plants, cleaning etc.).
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Operations Supervisor for maintenance requests, ongoing projects etc. Report larger maintenance items.
  • Respond to and manage tenant requests, taking corrective measures and completing work orders as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete daily security sweeps of common areas and log any incidents.
  • Respond to any tenant security concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Standards and Fire Code while performing inspections, testing equipment and following annual safety procedures.
  • Administer files and records which include: processing work orders, purchase orders, and creating reports.
Your technical qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ experience in similar role or as maintenance operator.
  • Proficient use of power tools and other equipment (Blower, pressure washer, steam cleaner etc.).
  • Construction, Maintenance, Landscaping, Security experience are assets.
  • Training in trades is an asset.
  • Security training is an asset.
  • Drivers License and daily access to a vehicle.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to complete physically demanding tasks.

Good eyesight required. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
