We impact many lives.Our maintenance team is looking for a strong leader to support the team to ensure that all WCB facilities are maintained to the highest possible standards and to provide all visitors and staff a healthy, safe, and sanitary environment.Your Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Lead, by example, a team of dedicated tradespeople and building operators with the goal to ensure safe, effective, and efficient facility maintenance and operations to preserve property values and to meet client requirements. This includes:
  • Interviewing and recommending candidates for hire and promotion
  • Negotiating, setting, monitoring, and evaluating employee performance, goals, and objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, provide feedback and develop the performance for each member of the team.
  • Participate in the planning of the operating and capital budget for the Facilities team.
  • Complete annual building inspections and coordinate with maintenance coordinator to complete asset planner.
  • Develops short and long-range plans for the unit including the annual budget, goals & objectives, and succession plans.
  • Ensures operational continuity of the unit through cross training.
  • On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies.
Your experience and skills:You will bring your exceptional, demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience. A commitment to supporting, coaching, and developing people and maintaining a positive, collaborative team. You have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a team environment.Technical skills, experience, and certifications:
  • 4th Class Power Engineer Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building operations, repair and maintenance of high-rise office towers and knowledge of all related Codes including Building Codes and Fire Codes.
  • SMT (Systems Maintenance Technician) or SMA (Systems Maintenance Administrator) certification
  • BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) or IFMA (International Facility Managers Association) Certification
  • Working towards certification as a RPA (Real Property Administrator), CPM (Certified Property Manager) or CFM (Certified Facilities Manager)
  • A broad knowledge of the various trades including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
  • Experience with financial controls, planning systems, and project management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience with BMCS (Building Management Control System), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) systems.
