Job Description

SummaryThe Parts (Stores) Person is responsible for the timely and accurate handling, inventorying, and distribution of maintenance parts and materials in support of plant operations. This role ensures the maintenance team has the required components to perform repairs, maintenance, and project work efficiently. Generates quality records, updates files and information in LIMS database. Responsibilities

  • Follow all Celanese safety protocols and participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments
  • Issue parts to maintenance technicians based on work orders and requests
  • Processing of Stores Requisitions - receivingamp; removal of parts for maintenance
  • Enter notifications for spare part refurbsamp; shop manufactured parts
  • Organization of stock space for new spare parts and identifying store #39; locations.
  • Perform inventory stock cycle counts to ensure stock accuracyamp; avoid stockouts.
  • Support plant shutdowns and turnarounds by preparing and staging required materials.
  • Work with the purchasing department - gathering parts information, timing issues, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors for urgent or specialty parts and follow up on delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with the maintenance planner and reliability engineer to forecast demand for critical spares
  • Attend Stock Control Committeeamp; S.I.P. meetings
  • Work closely with Shipping/Receiving person - receive, verify incoming parts and materials, provide vacation/E.D.O. coverage
  • Maintain clean and organized parts warehouses
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of plant experience
  • High school diploma
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Able to lift up to 50 LBS
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and mechanical/electrical parts.
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Available to work overtime when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain, warehousing, or parts technology is an asset.
