Job Description

Highlights of the jobWe are hiring a one (1) full-time, temporary Manager, Digital Services position for up to 18 months in Edmonton, AB!The Manager is responsible for creating and implementing the digital strategy for EPCOR that satisfies Business Unit goals and user needs, as well as for managing digital properties and assets, project and initiative alignment, and the expansion and improvement of EPCORs online presence and experience.Specifically, the Manager, Digital Services role includes a focus on developing and communicating the digital strategy and related targets, aligning Business Unit and Corporate objectives to meet EPCORs targets, anticipating the budget and resourcing requirements to meet future needs, providing strategic council and support to digital initiatives and projects across EPCOR, managing and monitoring EPCORs digital presence, properties and assets, and the positive performance of EPCORs digital assets.This position may be eligible for EPCOR hybrid work program!What you’d be responsible for

  • Understanding of web project delivery, from planning, through discovery, design, development, deployment, maintenance and iteration.
  • Interface with and support the Project Manager of the web re-platform project in the drive to re-platform epcor.com by the end of 2023/early 2024.
  • Managing a team of digital professionals and creating an environment that fosters teamwork, grows engagement and promotes professional development.
  • Fostering and building on-going relationships within Public & Government Affairs, Senior Leadership and across key stakeholders within and outside EPCOR that drive towards a user centric digital strategy that aligns user’s experiences with business needs.
  • Setting, monitoring and reporting on digital assets and properties KPIS (including epcor.com and social media channels) to measure performance and experience.
  • Providing counsel and support across EPCOR to develop and implement digital strategies (paid and unpaid), solutions and tactics that align with the corporate strategic direction and meet Business Unit objectives and user needs.
  • Identifying necessary budget and resource requirements to ensure the ongoing support, development and growth of EPCOR’s digital presence, experience, assets and properties.
  • Managing external suppliers/vendors/agencies and stakeholders on behalf of EPCOR including user experience (UX) mapping and design, analytics and reporting, search engine optimization, paid advertising and digital media implementation and other consultants as necessary.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client groups, external vendors and other stakeholders to ensure an easy to do business with manner of working.
What’s required to be successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of marketing, communications, information technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of digital properties management, corporate communications, marketing, branding, IT infrastructure planning and/or IT project management as the primary relevant work experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing the growth and development of digital presence and experience and management of subsequent digital properties and assets including web and social media platforms
  • Advanced ability with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Publisher), Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere), Microsoft SharePoint/Adobe Experience Manager, Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, DataStudio, AdWords), Social Makers and various Cloud (iframe) applications.
  • Sharp analytical skills to quickly analyze complex situations, determine key issues and prepare and implement clearly defined solutions and/or responses.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building skills; comfortable collaborating with senior employees/leadership and stakeholders of the organization.
