This includes working with various groups across AIMCo such as investment groups, business technology, finance and operations to manage, prioritize and execute small “c” change requests. Examples of small “c” change includes new investment products and changing investment systems to enable changes in the investment process and play a key role in the ownership of the key investment systems (Calypso, Charles Rivers, Eagle). This includes the management (approval of changes, access etc.) of the system, including sponsorship of system upgrades and ensuring AIMCo’s investment systems meet current and future business needs.Responsibilities

  • Establish the End-to-End Investment Process/Procedures
  • Ownership of three critical AIMCo investment systems: Calypso, Charles Rivers and Eagle, creating a process where they, along with AIMCo staff, can be confident the impact of system changes are fully understood.
  • Prioritize all requests and serve as an intake point for requests
  • As part of the system ownership this role will be required to meet with external vendors and external partners and peers to understand industry options and best practices and then champion change within the organization.
  • This role is responsible for recruiting talent into the change management area as well as supporting the ongoing development of employees. Along with staffing the area, the manager will develop the team and build out the change management and operational efficiency area.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelors / Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics Technical/Professional Accreditations
  • Completion of 2 or more relevant professional certifications such as: CFA or CPA, and certified Scrum Product Owner (Agile Methodology).
  • PMP, ProSci, BA certification, Lean 6Sigma, or CAIA certifications is a nice to have
  • 8+ years experience in a finance, or investment management – of which 3 years has been focused on change and project management experience.
  • Proficient use of investment systems such as Charles River, Calypso, Symcorp Dimension (SCD) with strong Financial markets, Derivatives and data knowledge
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports
  • Expert knowledge of investment systems (Eagle, SimCorp, CRTS, Calypso, FactSet)
  • Knowledge of business technology best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of agile methodology
  • Strong knowledge of investment products
  • Strong knowledge of procurement process including RFP and RFI
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to tailor technical matters to respective audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, PowerBI, SQL server and other relevant tools
