Job Description

North Central Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Meat Cutter to join our team at our Chappelle Food Store in Edmonton, Alberta. Open availability is an asset.Primary Job Functions:

  • Receive, inspect and store meat upon delivery
  • Cut, trim, debone and grind pieces of meat
  • Weigh, wrap and maintain displays of meat products ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards.
  • Monitor case temperature, clean equipment and workspaces.
Required Skills:
  • Meat Cutting and Merchandising Certificate
  • Minimum of 1-2 years previous meat cutting experience
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work with all types of meat and meat products
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Honest, trustworthy and results oriented - striving to be the best in what you do
North Central Co-op is located in Central Alberta – providing goods and services to our locations within Stony Plain, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, Legal and Sherwood Park.
