Job Description

North Central Co-op invites applications for a Meat Manager to join our team at our Chappelle Food Store (1025 Chappelle BLVD SW, Edmonton, AB, T6W 4H2).Open availability is required.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.northcentralcoop.ca.What you’ll do:Train to become responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks within the Meat Department through our leadership development programs. Learn to achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support North Central Co-ops vision.

  • Responsible for the overall operations of the Meat Department
  • Ensure adherence to the departmental budget.
  • Oversee daily operations in the Meat department to maintain excellent customer experience
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department
  • Ensure the Meat department is appropriately merchandised including tagging and pricing accuracy
  • Maintain customer standards by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department
  • Ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed
  • Provide strong leadership and support to team members within the department

  • Post-secondary education in related field is an asset
  • 3 years experience within a meat department
  • Leadership experience is considered an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
