A key member of our Managed Services team, well rely on you to be versatile, "go-to" problem solver for a variety of technologies, issues, and initiatives on a variety of network technologies including Next-Generation Firewalls, SD-WAN, Load balancing, and Routing and Switching in both traditional and cloud-based environments.What youll do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments
  • Provide thorough ticket updates and knowledge articles to guide future incidents and problems
  • Coordinate with vendors to repair or replace hardware
  • Monitor customer environments and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
  • Respond to alerts and action or escalate as required to vendors
  • Maintain regular knowledge sessions for the operational teams
  • Follow ITIL practices regarding incident, problem, and change management
  • Participate in the weekly change process
  • Perform network administration on firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, etc.
  • Document and update technical procedures, administrative processes, configuration management database
  • Work closely with internal partners and managers to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues
  • Coordinate, document, and execute changes to meet the customers requirements
  • Participate in knowledge transfers and onboarding of new clients to ensure a smooth transition to production
What you need to succeedMust-have5+ years of experience with infrastructure support including a focus on customer service and technical assistance5+ years of experience with networking fundamentals and advanced troubleshootingExperience with ticketing and monitoring systemsThorough understanding of TCP/IP and network fundamentalsImplementation experience configuring routers and switches (Cisco, Brocade)Hands-on experience with industry-leading firewall products (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco)Experienced with the following security technologies (IPSec/SSL VPNs, IDS/IPS, UTM, WAF)F5 LTM / GTM / ASM experienceNetwork Management experience (Nagios, Cacti, Syslog, SNMP, Network analyzers)Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Viptella, CloudGenix, Fortinet)Exceptional troubleshooting and analytics skillsExcellent written and verbal skillsAfter-hours and on-call rotation availabilityNice-to-haveBilingual - English and FrenchExperience with Linux administration (RHEL or CentOS) and Windows administration (Server 2016 /2019)Experience supporting network operations in the public cloudExperience supporting storage networksExperience supporting multiple clients in a managed services provider organizationWho we are:CDW is a leading technology solutions provider to business, government, education, and healthcare organizations in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
