AMA:ARE YOU THE write PERSON FOR THE JOBOpen: 2023-02-01Closed: Until filledLocation: Edmonton, KingswayWork model: HybridThe Operations Specialist is responsible for retention of existing members by staying informed to consistently offer relevant solutions that effectively address existing customer needs while maintaining adherence to Underwriting guidelines, procedures, and regulations. This role will balance member needs against business objectives to enable member satisfaction, profitable growth, and underwriting excellence. The job contributes to the business unit’s and AMA’s success through sound underwriting decisions, providing a high level of customer service and by assisting to ensure Insurance Operations staff are current and proficient in all Operational policy and process.WHAT MOVES YOU

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Report to Manager, Underwriting Operations.
  • Provide onboarding and tier 1 support for current and future Usage Based Insurance programs
  • Analyze current processes and develop new procedures to ensure efficiency and superior member experience.
  • Support project work related to portfolio transfers, operational initiatives, and policy review
  • Prepare written technical process steps and work with Management and Learning and Development to create job aids and processes to support operations and training.
  • Verify policy transactions and make necessary adjustments immediately, and effectively communicate policy changes to our members.
  • Work collaboratively with Underwriting, Claims, and Agency teams and other internal departments to improve relations, process and achieve common goals.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
  • You have a high school diploma.
  • Completed CIP designation or actively working to complete the CIP designation.
  • Level I or II General Insurance Agent Certificate of Authority is required.
  • Minimum 2 years automobile and property underwriting experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and automated insurance related applications.
  • You are an enthusiastic, positive team player.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as telephone etiquette.
  • You are analytical, logical, and decisive.
