The staff also work with businesses, security departments and the general public to mentor best practices for interactions with the community, providing overdose response and naloxone training. There will be teams consisting of a nurse and outreach worker.With the support of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or paramedic, the Outreach Worker will deliver harm reduction supplies, education and support on safer drug use, prevention of drug poisoning and take-home naloxone distribution, sexual health and provide referrals to other health & social services. The team will respond to drug poisonings as necessary.This job may be physically demanding with many hours of walking per day. (Depending on the team)KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
