Job Description

COBS Bread Riverbend Square is currently looking for a Part-Time Baker to join our growing Bakery team. Rise to the occasion; this is a highly rewarding job, as it turns dough into bread! As a Baker you will learn new skills, have the opportunity to be challenged and work as part of a team in a fun and supportive environment.As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:

  • Managing our fabulous product so it is placed and removed from the ovens in a timely, safe and effective manner
  • Work with other Bakers and the Production Manager to produce and ensure the bread quality and range is to Bakers Delight/COBS Bread standards and delivered on time to meet customer demands
  • Maintain the safety of staff by upholding the Bakers Delight/COBS Bread brand and standards
  • Responsible for production area cleaning, and maintain compliance with all food and health standards
  • Assist with stock rotation.
  • Provide support to the whole bakery team, demonstrate team work and foster good working relationships.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
  • Candidates must have their own transportation
  • Be an overnight worker as shifts start as early as 12a.m. (midnight), and includes weekends
  • Have good time-management skills
  • Be able to lift 25kg, including hot pans
  • Be comfortable working a hot oven environment
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Having baking experience will be given preference
