Job Description

Under the direction of a Shipping and Receiving Lead, the Shipping and ReceivingAssociate ensures effective operations of the warehouse. This includes effective shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, sorting, retrieving, staging, equipment, materials and supplies. This must all be completed while complying with all safety regulations.Responsibilities:

  • Operates a forklift, reach lift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment for warehouse activities as required.
  • Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of products, supplies and equipment.
  • Identifies problems or potential problem areas and collaborates with managers to find solutions.
  • Document non-conformances diligently and accurately upon receipt or discovery of damaged goods.
  • Perform physical counts in accordance with End of Year and standard Cycle Count schedules.
  • Action all required tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure targets are met relating to inventory, delivery and quality, achieving all targets to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Shipping product to customers. This includes picking the orders, packaging, recording serial number information, using the shipping systems, filling out waybills, and ship confirming.
  • Warehouse maintenance, such as emptying garbage cans, keeping warehouse area clean and organized, and keeping warehouse supplies stocked.
  • Ability to work while standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting for the entire duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the entire shift from floor to over-head.
  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding safety, equipment, damaged goods, and any problems or issues that may arise.
  • Have flexibility in scheduling and availability to work the times, shifts, days, and overtime as necessary to meet the company’s needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.
  • Firearms Possession and Acquisition License with Restricted endorsement.
  • High level of flexibility.
  • Ability to contribute and support a team towards a common goal.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Great time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, count inventory, and manage shipments.
  • Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform and cover all work floor duties.
  • Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours .
  • Previous experience operating powered warehouse industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) this is a preferred asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Hours and Pay: Part Time: 6 – 24 hours(Current hours of operation 10:45 AM – 5:15 PM – Tuesday to Sunday)Pay: $15+/hrHow to Apply: Include a letter outlining your firearms, hunting and outdoors experience.
