RAPS is Seeking a Full Time Community Support Worker to Assist an Individual with Down’s Syndrome (E47)Location: Downtown Edmonton (Oliver Area)Days: Monday - Saturday Hours: 10:00am - 3:00pmAdditional hours may be availableJob Description: Duties include but are not limited to: mobility assistance,personal care assistance, medication administration, cueing, encouraging life skills and communication skills, schedule and plan activities, support on community outings/activities (recreation centers, malls, etc.), participation and involvement in activities, supervision, and companionshipQualifications and Other Requirements: Must have a recent criminal record check (including the vulnerable sector check), driver’s license, and reliable vehicle for outings. Applicants must have previous caregiving experience (minimum one-year), experience working with developmental disabilities is considered an asset. Applicants must not smoke, must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and must be able to communicate in in clear fluent English. Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills. Ideal candidate will be outgoing, engaging, and willing to plan and participate in activities.
