BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH US The Parts Technician is responsible for addressing the current deficiencies in inventory controls and establish a reliable inventory management system for parts and equipment for the Shop Team. This may include maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and equipment, communicating effectively with the shop team, and ensuring that parts and equipment are readily available. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and providing efficient and effective support to the shop. Additionally, the Parts Technician may assist in the delivery and pick-up of parts or vehicles. The Parts Technician is essential to establish an accurate inventory control system, minimize turnaround time, recognise cost savings, and improve overall efficiency. Their expertise in inventory control and administrative roles, combined with their high attention to detail and strong problem-solving will enable them to efficiently manage the inventory and provide effective support to the shop team. Exciting Career Progression Paths Making a difference in our communities HOW YOULL CONTRIBUTE (RESPONSIBILITIES) Parts Management Responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory control processes. Responsible for sourcing, ordering, and receiving parts for company equipment. Occasionally create purchase orders and receive packing slips. Process and track parts that have been placed on order. Communicate effectively with the shop team to identify specific parts and equipment needs. May pick up and deliver parts and consumables at the Technical Specialists request. Conform to applicable SOPs and policies, including following safe work procedures. Maintenance and Data Entry Occasional data entry of work orders and POs to ensure timely processing and delivery. Maintain inventory levels and control systems, ensuring that parts and equipment are accounted for and available when needed. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the shop, including monitoring and reporting any safety-related issues. Vehicle Delivery and Pick-up May assist in the delivery and pick-up of vehicles as needed. If licensed, may operate various shop vehicles and equipment on an as-needed basis. Other duties my be assigned, as necessary. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES (REQUIREMENTS) Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in an inventory control or administrative environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to acclimate to PC-based inventory control systems such as Spectrum and order entry systems. Considered an asset if has specialized knowledge of specific parts such as automobile, heavy equipment, recreational vehicles, or engines. Considered an asset if a Registered apprentice, Journeyperson Mechanic or has a mechanical background. Ability to work well independently and in cooperation with the shop team. Attention to detail, ensuring that parts and equipment are accurately tracked and documented. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Class 5 Drivers License and an adequate 5-year Drivers Abstract. Able to pass a pre-employment Drug, Alcohol, and 50lb Fitness-to-work test.
