Job Description

The Company B2Gold is a low-cost international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has three operating gold mines and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Canada, Mali, the Philippines, Namibia, Columbia, Finland, and Uzbekistan. This year, B2Gold forecasts gold production to be 1,000,000- 1,080,000 ounces.PositionPayroll and Benefits Specialist, Edmonton. This is a 1 year maternity leave position with possibility of extension.Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Director of Human Resourcesamp; Organizational Development , this position will be based in the Edmonton Project Office.ResponsibilitiesReview and verify onboarding documentations, data for new hires, terminations, employee status and process records of employment; Liaise with the Timeamp; Attendance Coordinator to confirm accuracy and completeness of schedule adherence and deviations, job costing codes and absenteeism data to preserve payroll data integrity; Accurately enter one-time data exceptions to payroll data batches; Maintain accurate files for payroll adjustments and calculations for review and approval. Retain files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance; Enroll, administer, and manage changes to the employee benefits programs, including Employeeamp; Family Assistance Program (EFAP), Registered Retirement Saving Plans (RRSP), Virtual Care, Extended Health, Dental Care, Life Insurance and Accidental Deathamp; Dismemberment; Communicate detailed benefits information to employees and assist with complicated benefits inquiries; and Collaborate with benefit providers to resolve outstanding issues related to premiums reconciliation and employee coverages.Competencies and RequirementsThree (3) years of experience performing benefit administration and full cycle payroll data functions, preferably in heavy industry or mining; A two (2) year post-secondary Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting; Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation; and Organizational aptitude, strong prioritization capabilities and demonstrated proficiency in detailed review.Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this role is $75,000.00+ based on experience.B2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.Application and Contact InformationKitikmeot Inuit, Nunavut Inuit, and Residents receive priority hiring consideration, if one these categories applies, please state it after the reference number in the subject line.
