If you are someone who approaches work with passion, curiosity and the courage to innovate, then this role is for you.We are looking for a Payroll & OTL Analyst to join us in the exciting work we do in Employee Resource Centre. Itll be your responsibility to audit the integrity and accuracy of all transactional HR data entered in Oracle and interfaced to ADP. In this position, you also get to manage and reconcile remittances, partner with the Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Operations to streamline delivery of HR across ATCO and execute and support consistent procedures and processes for the entire organization.What You Get To Do:

  • Manage the time and attendance system (WorkForce Dimensions) and assist timekeepers as required.
  • Audit all employee data changes and pay-related changes (taxes, salary increases or benefits) within Oracle HCM.
  • Manage several Payroll & Demographics interfaces between WorkForce Dimensions, Oracle HCM and ADP systems.
  • Complete Audit and reconciliation of the payroll employee data for several Canadian projects as well as US and Expat International locations.
  • Audit employee benefit changes entered in Oracle by the Employee Resources Center processing team every pay period to ensure integrity and accuracy of employee benefit and pension information.
  • Audit Flex benefit deductions and retro reports sent by third party providers.
  • Understand all Collective Agreements and validate information in Oracle, ADP, and Pay@work.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly & monthly payrolls.
  • Create reports from payroll systems (WorkForce Dimensions, Oracle, ADP etc.) for analysis.
  • Provide recommendations on improvement of processes and internal controls.
  • Liaise with other departments such as IBM, HRIS, finance, accounting, etc. (regarding GLI processes, Oracle elements` configurations testing etc.
  • Provide back up support for other payroll team members.
  • Reconcile year-end adjustments as required to ensure accurate year-end reporting.
  • Respond to employee T4 related questions and request amendments from ADP where required.
  • Final payroll earnings, GST etc. reporting to various departments.
  • Run reports from Time & Labor systems (WorkForce Dimensions) to ensure the accuracy and that all applicable timecards are entered.
  • Download and run final audit reports from ADP to ensure the accurate processing of payrolls on a bi-weekly basis.
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of a post-secondary diploma
  • PCP Payroll Compliance Practitioner is required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of payroll/HRIS administration experience with completion of CPA coursework; or 7 years of accounting/accounts payable experience with interest in pursuing a career in Payroll Administration
  • Professional Certified Payroll Manager designation is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), a large HRIS such as Oracle and ADP
  • Working knowledge of legislation such as CRA, Revenue Quebec, Human Rights, the Workers Compensation Act, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Basic accounting knowledge combined with a complete understanding of the payroll cycle through to general ledger
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all interested stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems under strict deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to influence decision making in a supportive and constructive manner
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment while managing multiple demands
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Professional, approachable and customer service oriented
  • Ability to interpret and apply corporate policies and procedures, and collective agreements
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning, and adherence to a professional Code of Ethics
