Job Description

AutoReqId: 15665BRLine Of Business: ConcreteDepartment: ProductionPrimary Location: Edmonton-ABPay Class: HourlyJob Posting:Inland Concrete is currently looking for a responsible, safe, and dependable Batch Plant Operator to join our local team. In this position you are responsible for operating and troubleshooting a ready-mix batch plant, including managing the mixing and loading of concrete mixes according to order specifications for customer delivery.What You Will Get to Do:

  • Batch concrete using computerized equipment that produces accurately calibrated and consistent mix quality
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or by hand to ensure conformance to established standards
  • Report any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality or processing efficiencies
  • Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials and notifies appropriate suppliers of production needs.
  • Communicate with Dispatch and Transportation departments regarding material delivery Responsible for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to ensure proper crediting to customer.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.
  • Responsible for daily inspection of facilities and will complete maintenance checklist.
  • Will operate a front end loader when needed Who We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of Marcotte system is an asset
  • Working knowledge of concrete and admixtures
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions
  • Must have ability to operate Loader and other yard equipment as needed. Wheel Loader certification required
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
  • Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
  • In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
