Job Description

CLASSIFICATIONSalaryREPORTS TODirector of Organizational Improvement and Quality AssuranceJOB SUMMARYThe Policy & Procedure Writer is responsible for composing policies and procedures to effectively meet operational and regulatory requirements of the organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interviews subject matter experts, observe work processes and communicates with staff to research and analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and forms documentation.
  • Write, edit and update all policies and procedures with clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
  • Manage the process of reviewing and implementing policies including gathering the required information, identifying deliverables, drafting documents, revising documents as needed, obtaining appropriate approvals, publishing documents and maintaining historical files.
  • Maintain standards, templates, and publication architecture to ensure that policies are usable in accordance with accepted technical writing standards.

There may be a need to attend to situations on work sites.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils may occur. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position.
