Job Description

Role Summary:The Precision Assemble will assembly, disassembly, and perform testing of control valves.The position is first shift, with consistent overtime required. Our shop is always in motion with a steady flow of challenging work and a customer-focused crew.This is a first shift position.Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities:

  • New control valve assembly, instrumentation diagnostics, seat leak and hydrostatic testing
  • Disassembly, inspection, re-assembly and testing of repaired automated control valve products in a rapid response, "quick ship" MRO environment. Repair products will be function tested, properly documented, and prepped for blasting and painting. Internal parts shall be prepped expeditiously for critical dimension checks and necessary machining.
  • All equipment, including instrumentation, is tested through a series of seat, hydrostatic, and valve & instrument diagnostics programs in adherence to strict quality guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools which may include various wrenches (manual, electric or air), torque wrenches, hoists, and valve testing equipment to ensure all products meet quality requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and complying with Flowserve applicable Safety, Health, and Environment standards, policy, rules and procedures.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping is done within the work area and use tools and equipment safety.
  • Work to achieve company production goals on time delivery objectives.
  • Adhere to and maintain quality work practices, qualifications, and procedures.
  • Availability to travel to customer locations, assemble, troubleshoot, and repair control valves and instrumentation. Complete accurate, detailed, service and expense reports as required.
  • Provide technical information and support to customers.
  • Assist with/perform preventative maintenance on assembly testing and production equipment.
  • Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting of valve components as required.
Requirements:
  • 3 years minimum demonstrated experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial environment with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communications and documentation skills.
  • Able to work well with customers
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft and data base applications)
  • Must be willing to work overtime hours, especially during plant outages and scheduled turnarounds on weekends & holidays, sometimes with little or no notice.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, method specifications, and utilize basic machine shop mathematics (geometric tolerances).
  • Must be able to read/interpret pneumatic schematics to tube valves correctly.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Self-motivated
  • Works well in team environment
