Job Description

Inovata Foods Corp.is currently looking to add one more team member to work at our Edmonton, Alberta location.Located in Edmonton, Alberta, with a partnered facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of high quality frozen meals for prominent clients throughout North America.Details.This position will join the QA Team as a part time weekend QA Auditor. The candidate will work Saturdays that we have production and may have an opportunity to work extra shifts during the week for vacation and illness coverage.Shift 1PM-11:30PM, 10 1/2 hoursPosition Purpose.

  • To support Quality Assurance functions and related requirements.
  • Support plant and production functions.
  • Complete line checks, QA checks and associated paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Perform environmental swabbing and subsequent sample submissions to external laboratories.
  • Support finished goods release program, i.e., daily taste panels.
  • Support incoming materials program, i.e., raw materials inspections.
  • Review batch documentation for release of finished goods.
  • other projects as assigned.
Requirements.
  • Preference given to candidates currently enrolled in a College or University program as this is a part-time weekend shift.
  • Must have completed college level coursework.
  • Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
Other Key Considerations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with production personnel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Must be able to interpret food safety and quality requirements.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Sampling and ensuring quality is maintained and consistent throughout products will require the successful candidate to participate in taste panels and batch sampling for a wide range of allergens and meats.**
