Job Description

Job descriptionInovata Foods Corp.is currently looking for one team members to work at our Edmonton, Alberta location.Located in Edmonton, Alberta, with a partnered facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of high quality frozen meals for prominent clients throughout North America.Details.This position will join the small QA Team as a weekend QA Auditor on the closing shift and will work Saturday and Sunday that we have production.Note in August we will be moving to a dual shift and there will be no more Sunday production.In addition, you will may be eligible to work a Friday/Saturday shift including various afternoon shift that will be opening.Position Purpose.

  • To support Quality Assurance functions and related requirements.
  • Support plant and production functions.
  • Complete line checks, QA checks and associated paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Perform environmental swabbing and subsequent sample submissions to external laboratories.
  • Support finished goods release program, i.e., daily taste panels.
  • Support incoming materials program, i.e., raw materials inspections.
  • Review batch documentation for release of finished goods.
  • other projects as assigned.
Requirements.
  • Preference given to candidates currently enrolled in a College or University program as this is a part-time weekend shift.
  • Must have completed college level coursework.
  • Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
Other Key Considerations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with production personnel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Must be able to interpret food safety and quality requirements.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Sampling and ensuring quality is maintained and consistent throughout products will require the successful candidate to participate in taste panels and batch sampling for a wide range of allergens and meats.**
