Job Description

Our unique approach focuses on guest wellbeing, operational efficiency, community building and a property development mindset - making us a leading provider of accommodation solutions.Reporting to the Director of Labour Relations and Human Resources, the Recruiter will perform talent acquisition activities for multi-disciplinary, hourly union and non-union within their assigned area. The incumbent will be self-driven and focused on delivering results in a fast paced, large volume recruitment.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full cycle recruitment for hourly union and non-union within the assigned geographical/business unit. This includes sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, assessments, extending offers and onboarding paperwork.
  • Participate in workforce planning meetings with the operations team to ascertain current demand and future needs.
  • Consult with hiring managers to identify job specifications, duties, qualifications, and skills required for the position.
  • Identify strategies and sourcing channels to build a pipeline of candidates for assigned portfolio.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions within established timelines.
  • Assist in the development of pro-active, creative, and cost-effective sourcing strategies to bring top technical talent to the company using a variety of techniques, including but not limited to 3rd party job boards, social media, career fair and industry events.
  • Post and maintain job advertisements on job boards.
  • Conduct phone screens and participate in interview and selection process when needed.
  • Conduct reference checks and other assessments as required for the position. Debrief with the hiring manager prior to extending an offer.
  • Schedule pre-employment testing and ensure clearance is received prior to the start date.
  • Maintain confidentiality within areas of responsibility and represent the Civeo in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Liaise with Safety department to organize safety training as required for the position.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and coordinate with the new hire to ensure completeness and accuracy of the documentation, verify technical tickets and ensure required policies and procedures are understood and signed off.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and maintain ongoing communication on the hiring process and status of the open positions.
  • Emphasize Civeo’s commitment to diversity and inclusion with the candidates during recruitment process.
  • Partner and collaborate with other HR team members in recruitment projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in other related projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Willing to work occasional overtime (evenings/weekends) to meet deadlines when necessary
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a high-volume recruitment setting; preferably in hospitality or oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with the Skilled Trades environment is preferred.
  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in human resources or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Passion for recruitment and ability to manage a high-volume of requisitions.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and familiarity with Collective Agreement is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective written & oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet individual and business goals.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, and ability to learn new programs as needed.
  • Experience with Docusign and Oracle HRIS is an asset.
