Job Description

Job Posting: Red Seal PipefitterLocation: Remote Fly-in Camp, NunavutRotation: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks offBackground Checks: Drugamp; Alcohol screening and criminal record check will be conductedPosition Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Red Seal Pipefitter to join our team for a temporary assignment focused on mining mill construction at a remote fly-in camp in Nunavut. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems integral to the construction and operation of mining mills and process plants. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of mill piping infrastructure, supporting both construction phases and ongoing operational needs in a challenging remote environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and maintain process piping systems for mining mill construction and commissioning.
  • Perform welding, fitting, and piping installation tasks according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Support the installation of mill infrastructure, including conveying systems, water supply, and slurry piping.
  • Conduct inspections, pressure tests, and quality checks to ensure piping systems meet safety and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve piping issues during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of piping systems with mill components.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection reports.
  • Follow all safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture on site.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Red Seal certification as a Pipefitter.
  • Proven experience in industrial piping installation, maintenance, and repair, with a focus on mining mill or plant construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to process piping and mill construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P amp;ID diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to challenging environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, cold, and demanding conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Licensingamp; Certifications:
  • Certified Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Pipefitting.
  • Additional certifications such as Confined Space, CPR/First Aid, and H2S Alive are assets.
Schedule:
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off
