As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Regional Service ManagerTeam and Location: Commercial – Edmonton, ABPosition Summary: Responsible for the overall direction and strategy of Parkland’s service business, asset management, regulatory compliance and service revenue in the Prairies ROC. Key member of Prairies management team for overall customer service, safety and growth of the businessKey Responsibilities:Service Operations

  • Responsible for the overall safe operations of the Service Department to ensure customers are handled in an efficient, economical and courteous manner.
  • Supervising Service Supervisors, Asset & Technical coordinators and Service Admin team
  • Create and implement programs for effective service plans and field service work for a diverse group of customers across several industries
  • Develop an apprenticeship program for internal development of licensed Service Techs
Profitability
  • Provide direction for service rates and programs to meet customer demands and create a platform for service growth
  • Set Service budgets and manage daily P&L performance results
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize the service business
Technical Expertise
  • Manage team of technical experts that will provide expertise to existing facilities, new development initiatives and larger commercial customer installations
  • Manage quality assurance program for installations – inhouse and third party
  • Lead Commercial representative to work with Procurement and Vendors for equipment sourcing and offerings
Regatory Compliance
  • Oversight to ensure that all propane facilities, customer tanks (propane & fuel) and installations are meeting all regulatory compliance requirements (municipal, provincial, federal) in the Prairies and eastern BC.
  • Manage the large tank PRV initiative in the Prairies and Eastern BC to meet regulatory deadlines on an annual basis and plan for future requirements and deadlines (ie: ABSA in 2024)
  • Ensure distillate side of business is meeting customer regulatory requirements
Asset Management
  • Oversight for effective tracking and management of tanks (propane and fuel) across the Prairies network
  • Coordinate upgrades and repairs of tanks and equipment
  • Execution of effective asset utilization process to drive improved utilization
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 10 +years experience within the oil and propane industry is an asset
  • Previous management experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Microsoft Office experience is an asset
  • Propane certifications an asset
