Understanding psychology enables us to be open-minded and creative, and it provides opportunities for us to broaden our perspectives, challenge what we take for granted, and enrich our frameworks for understanding the world.The Department of Psychology offers a diverse education to both undergraduate and graduate populations, offering over 100 courses each year covering foundational materials as well as current and emerging topics.Position SummaryThe research assistant will work collaboratively with the PI and other members of the Memory for Events (ME) Lab to help with the efficient running of the lab. They will assist with human ethic submissions, human participant recruitment, participant testing, and data analysis of experiments using computer-based tasks and non-invasive neuroimaging techniques using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Under supervision, the research assistant will be responsible for ensuring that experiments are properly implemented, and that lab policies are followed regarding testing of human participants.The research assistant will also help with the day-to-day administration of the lab, including assisting with ordering lab supplies, reconciling the procurement purchasing card, updating information on the lab website, literature searches and reference citations, and helping to train new students on lab policies.Duties
