The primary goal for the site security posted at Edmonton City Centre is to avoid violence in any crisis situations while affording maximum protection to the Oxford Properties building(s), personnel, customers, visitors, and assets. Security Guards are required to be customer service representatives and brand ambassadors while supporting the dynamic needs of the site.Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging and dynamic environmentMonitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with the site policies and proceduresAttend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional mannerConduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concernsDe-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resourcesExercise crowd control and evict trespassersWrite clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reportsProvide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activitiesJob Requirements:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong observational and active listening skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervisionMust have a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends)Positive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work well with others in order to achieve collective goalsAbility to walk 20/30km and stairsQuick Apply
