Catering CoordinatorThe Catering Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, processing and finalizing all details relating to Catering business, including meetings, conferences and social events. Will assist clients in menu planning, coordinate food, beverage, meeting room setup, decor, audio/visual and other services as requested by the client. Will ensure that all client requirements are effectively communicated internally and completed to meet client expectations. Will coordinate communication between clients and staff to ensure smooth and successful handling of all events. Will be responsible for processing function deposits, correspondence with clients from initial contact to follow up, file management and other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager.Will perform hotel site inspections for clients and negotiate food and beverage prices, meeting room rental, function space and hotel services within approved guidelines.Duties and Functions· Expected to meet with clients and schedule site visits and pre-convention meetings.· Finalize all event details with the event contact.· Confirm and follow up on all conference details with the Manager before transferring on the responsibility of the event to the Banquet Department.· Ensure the terms stipulated on the contract are met to ensure guest satisfaction.· Ensure billing is established before each event and/or reconcile all outstanding balances for events.· Daily meet and greet of on-site event coordinator.· Maintain the relationship with the client by following up at the completion of the event.· Ability to maximize revenue in the function facilities.· Strong organizational and coordinating skills.· Excellent written and oral communication skills when dealing with clientele.· Efficiently prioritizing multiple deadlines and demands.· Ability to work under time pressures and extended hours.· Ensure proper filing procedures are followed.· Maintain a high level of communication with the Banquet and Kitchen Departments.· Attendance to the weekly Food and Beverage Sheet Meeting.· Attendance to the daily Sales and Catering Meeting.· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned and directed by the Catering Manager.Requirements:Education and Experience· High school diploma.· Secondary education within the Hospitality Program is preferred but not required.· Minimum of three (3) years within hospitality Catering in a Hotel environment.· CPR Certificate and/or First Aid Training is preferred but not required.· Physical Requirements· Flexible and long working hours may be required at times.· Able to perform duties such as typing for extended periods of time.· Physical labor - exerting up to ten (20-30) pounds of force occasionally for lifting, caring, pushing or pulling moveable objects.Please submit resume with references to General ManagerJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $52,000.00 per yearBenefits:
