Job Description

Westvac Industrial Ltd is a municipal and industrial dealership that has been in operation since 1997. With a head office in Edmonton AB, the company has expanded covering all of Western Canada with branch offices in Saskatoon SK, Calgary AB, and Surrey BC. Westvac has three divisions carrying an extensive product line, including Heavy & Light Duty Vehicle Lifts, Hydro Excavators, Street Sweepers, Garbage Trucks, Fire Apparatus, Tractors, and a variety of other equipment.Sales Representative – Lift DivisionWestvac is looking for a highly motivated and dependable full-time Outside Sales Representative. This position will be based out of our Acheson AB Head Office selling to automotive and HD maintenance garages throughout the territory of Northern AB. The position will handle the sales of Stertil-Koni Lifts, Challenger Lifts, John Bean & Hoffman Wheel Servicing Equipment, Bodyguard Imaging System, Balcrank, and others.Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Representing and selling a various assortment of product lines throughout many manufacturers
  • Take pride in and project a clean, professional image of Westvac Industrial Ltd.
  • Prospecting new customers
  • Working with existing customers to further strengthen relationships
  • Prepare presentations and quotes for potential customers
  • Coordinating and working with our parts & service departments
  • Working with distribution networks and sales forces for resale opportunities
  • Completing sales calls into our CDK software system
  • Submitting reports and taking direction from the Sales Manager
  • Working with municipal customers to provide equipment specifications for tenders
  • Working with administration to complete and submit tender/bid submissions
  • Actively submit forecasts and working with management
  • Collaborate with our manufacturers to maintain and build stronger relations
  • Travelling throughout the sales territory
  • Deliver and train customers on purchased equipment
  • Submit expense reports
  • Loading/Preparing equipment
  • Demonstrating/Operating equipment
  • Maintain a driver’s log
  • Reporting to the General Manager & Lift Division Operations Manager
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 3-5 years of equipment sales experience
  • Experience in automotive equipment is a must
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude is a must
  • Sales experience to automotive maintenance garages is a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and Outlook
  • Clean driving record and abstract (Class 3 and Q would be an asset but not required)
  • Must have an aptitude as a driver with the ability to drive a truck/trailer
  • Willingness to travel with a good understanding of logistics
  • Trustworthy with company expenses
  • Positive attitude with the ability to self-motivate
  • Detail orientated individual with the ability to effectively self-schedule
  • Ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams, other departments, and Senior Management
  • Strong understanding of the buying process of organizations and municipalities
  • Strong math skills that will assist in preparing quotes
