It is also committed to increasing gender equality and supporting women’s participation in the economy.RoleCafé Server: This position will be the first point of contact for museum Café guests. They will be the welcoming face that welcomes guests to the Café, discusses menu and services as well as answering any questions visitors might have. Duties will include café customer serve, cleaning and sanitizing collecting revenue fees, basic Museum knowledge sharing, and most importantly- providing outstanding customer service!

  • You will be able to demonstrate your systems thinking by acknowledging how your services affects the museum.
  • Your agility will enable you to change directions when appropriate and identify potential solutions to sudden issues.
  • Building collaborative environments is essential to the positions as you will need to rely on your teammates and supervisor to provide the best experience possible for guests.
  • Your ability to use your creative problem solving will be essential to find solutions for visitors when faced with issues and also find innovate ways to create a better experience in general for guests.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma is required for this positionAssets:
  • Certified in Food Safe
  • Related experience in food service, retail, tourism or hospitality.
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience handling cash, and counting

Salary$18.69 to $22.39 per hourNotes
  • This is for a wage position until on or before March 31, 2024, located in Edmonton.
  • Your hours of work will be determined by your supervisor. Please note that you will only be paid for actual hours worked. This position is required to work daytime, evening, weekends and statutory holidays. This operational schedule may change and this positions schedule would change accordingly. Employees are expected to be available a minimum number of shifts per week.
  • This competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same and/or lower classification. Candidates with less qualifications may be considered and remunerated at a lower classification.
