Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to join our award-winning customer service team. This role is responsible for overall service operations in the province of Alberta and will lead/manage our team of Field Service Technicians, Service Coordinators, and associated personnel.Ideal candidates will possess proven business acumen to go along with excellent leadership, communication, customer service, team-building, and organizational skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills are also important aspects of this position.The service department supports customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and or centrifugal and compressed natural gas compressors, along with additional compressed air components. The work environment is fast-paced, energetic, with frequently changing tasks and priorities.We are looking for positive, accountable, team-focused people, who are self-motivated to achieve results and willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.Collaborate with internal personnel in other departments (sales, parts, administration) to grow market share and expand our service business in Alberta.Establish and monitor key metrics and key performance indicators that align with our goals and business objectives.Responsible for annual department budget, departmental costs, ensuring alignment with company targets.Ensure that all planned maintenance and repairs are executing in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.Responsible for warranty compliance according to manufacturer’s policies.Implement policies, systems, and procedures, to drive service productivity and profitability in all regions.Support service coordinators, field service technicians, and service administrator to drive efficient billing procedures.Maintain cleanliness and organization of service shop and associated work areas according to workplace safety program standards.Ensure compliance with all environmental, workplace health and safety standards and procedures. Participate with workplace health and safety committee.Monitor and expand department personnel requirements. Assist with all associated recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance management tasks.Maintain rapport with customers by addressing complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.Promote all company products, services, and solutions, such as equipment, system accessories, planned maintenance, diagnostics, air system audits and leak detection.Occasional travel to customer sites located in surrounding areas and remote regions.Liaison and build collaborate with all associated manufacturer’s representatives.Key Competencies:Exceptional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal management skills.Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.Effective customer service, negotiation, and conflict management skills.Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.Mechanical and electrical aptitude are key qualifications for this position.Comprehension of equipment technical manuals and parts manuals.Tech savvy. Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiently with PC’s, laptops or tablet style computers, and associated devices.Must attend all required training courses. Travel to Ingersoll Rand’s corporate training facility in the USA is periodically required.Valid Canadian passport with the ability to travel across Canada and the US.Driver’s abstract required. Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.This position requires working in diverse conditions including but not limited to office areas, shop areas, warehouse areas, and mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, hot and cold weather conditions, equipment with risk of electrical shock (high voltage).This position is moderately physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, sitting, and driving for extended periods.Employees may regularly lift and or move up to 5 lbs., and occasionally lift and or move more than 25 lbs.No criminal record.Wiseworth Canada Industries Ltd. is an alcohol and drug free workplace.Qualifications:Desired applicants will have 5 or more years of service leadership/management and customer service experience.Accountable, hard-working, friendly, results oriented.High school diploma.
