Job Description

SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Heavy Construction Equipment – CalgaryGpac is a nationwide executive search firm specializing in connecting premier Construction Equipment Companies and industry professionals. We are currently conducting a search for a Service Technician on behalf of our confidential client.Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly and disassembly of components and accessories on industry-leading heavy construction equipment, including hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and structural components.
  • Machine and fabricate steel components for cutting-edge heavy construction equipment.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic testing to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Write detailed service reports, order necessary parts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment and tools such as forklifts, overhead cranes, power grinders, and welding/cutting tools.
Service Technician Requirements:
  • 5+ years as a certified Heavy Construction Equipment Service Technician
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, electrical components, power trains, and diesel engines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Red Seal certification preferred
