The course meets 3 hours per week. We anticipate thatthis course will be offered synchronously and in person at our campus in Edmonton.COURSE DESCRIPTIONSKinesiology/ Education 393 - Movement Activities for Children (Fall)Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am – 12:20pmStudents will study movement activities for children in elementary school within a developmentalframework. Special emphasis is placed on games, gymnastics and dance for children ages five totwelve years. The course combines theory, practical teaching experiences with children and criticalreflection on these experiences in the context of childrens physical development. This will includethe study of free play and organized physical activities in recreational, educational, and sportenvironments.QUALIFICATIONS• MSc or PhD in Kinesiology or related discipline, MEd or PhD in Education
