This passion results in amazing finished products for our customers from many different diverse work sectors in the economy.The Sheet Metal Equipment Operator will have the ability to work on various machinery and equipment commonly found in a sheet metal shop.In return for your hard work, you will be paid a wage that is dependent on your experience and expertise in the various machines and equipment that you display the required competency ranging from $ 26 to $ 28 per hour plus overtime and a solid benefit package. If you answered "yes" to most or all of these questions and are interested in exploring a new career, you should apply to this opportunity.THE JOB: As a critical member of our team, in this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for supporting metal work order project completion with an ever-changing variety of activities including work order documentation (reading drawings, reviewing notes, following directions, and writing work order process notes), resource & material management (time and materials), basic physical labor, work order planning, work order management and quality control. You are able to develop professional rapport with all stakeholders (vendors, staff and clients). And you will act in a manner that promotes the highest levels of quality and productivity and always represents our organization in a professional way while you are working.The Machine Operator at various times during the work day is responsible the following duties in operating the named equipment:· Computer Numerical Control (CNC) braking/forming in a custom sheet metal/precision sheet metal setting· Working with other sheet metal equipment such as CNC punching, shear, our PEM® fastener insertion machine , band saw, deburring, drilling, tapping and brake press equipment.· Operating other related metal working equipment and general assistance with shop housekeeping, labor and general cleaning.Requirements for the role:

• 1-3 Years’ experience in sheet metal forming and fabrication
• 3-5 Years experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of sheet metal fabrication & quality assurance
• Proven experience reading and interpreting drafting drawings and designs
• Able to work in a physical and mental capacity within a shop facility and are capable of lifting 50lbs.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude. Ability to deal effectively a variety of personalities.
• High degree of maturity and conscientious attitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of the English language.
• Strong organizational and spatial reasoning skills
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks and accomplish work safely in a time sensitive environment.

The equipment being operated is listed as follows:- Shear- Bandsaw- Deburring- Drilling- Tapping- Brake Press- PEM Insertion- Operation of other related metal working equipment- General assistance, Labor, cleaning, etc..· Experience operating a forklift and overhead craneAbilities· Works quickly and efficiently by ensuring all tasks are completed within the allotted time frame and by offering ideas for improvements to processes to appropriate supervision· Pays attention to detail by identifying details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer)· Possesses the ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem· Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense· Listens to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences in the English language· Communicates information and ideas in speaking clearly in order that others may understand· Works in a safe manner by preventing workplace injuries and/ or accidents, equipment damage and structural building damage.:· Produces high quality work by maintaining minimal rejects or non-conforming productsWorking Conditions· This position requires individuals who must be able to lift up to 50 lbs· The role is located in a small shop environment where physical maneuverability is a must· This position is moderate to high risk with mandatory safety requirements.
