Job Description

Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Shipper / Receiver is responsible for the receipt, storage, security, and issuance of all materials and supplies from the operating inventory within a specified area. The individual in this job role is responsible for all necessary documentation, inventory control, and physical inventory procedures pertaining to the inventory stock.Key Accountabilities:

  • Operates warehouse inventory control system in order to maintain the inventory for the area.
  • Responsible for the physical control of inventory per Management’s instructions.
  • Ensures that all inventory transactions are recorded and documented to protect against pilferage and loss.
  • Receives, checks and records shipments of operating supplies and materials to verify accuracy of shipments in accordance with shipping instructions.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly physical inventories and submitting results to the Operations
  • Retrieves, records, and distributes supplies and materials as requisitioned by the Supervisors and approved by the Operations Superintendents.
  • Know, follow and periodically review the requirements established by job policy and procedure.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines.
  • Classifies material for export.
  • Ability to process external shipments within Canada and outside of Canada.
  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate commercial invoicing for exports / imports.
  • Ability to clear held shipments with various country border protection agencies.
  • Processes RMA shipments for suppliers and customers.
  • Report unsafe acts, conditions or hazards immediately.
  • Follow instructions given by supervisory personnel.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of well-servicing materials and equipment.
  • A working knowledge of inventory control practices and principles.
  • Must possess organizational skills as required for completing alpha and numerical file maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years shipping / receiving experience
  • Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, able to multi task
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred but not necessary.
  • Strong Inventory Skills.
