We recognize the individual needs of our staff while supporting and assisting them to reach their full potential.We are seeking a Shop Assistant based out of our Acheson, AB office.Under the direction of the Shop Manager, the position is responsible for the routing and verification of all parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock. Maintains, updates, and verifies accuracy of records and ensures processing and forwarding of merchandise.Responsibilities:Shop Coordinator / PurchasingEnsure the Repair Checklist is maintained and up to date with ongoing, completed and upcoming repairs to equipmentGenerate Work Order report, using GroundWorks and excel reports to ensure the corresponding numbers are correct and up to dateLiaise with Management for purchasing related activitiesInput weekly equipment hours to monitor service intervals on internal equipmentRespond to purchasing related inquiries and resolve issues such as late shipmentsConfer and correspond with establishment representatives to expedite, trace and/or rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specificationsRequisition materials and assist in inventory control and auditing measures, as scheduledDeliver or route materials as requiredRepresent the shop on the Health & Safety CommitteePerform other related duties as assignedSuppliersBuild and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers and internal customersIdentify and resolve pricing discrepancies between purchase order and invoicesSource new products/services from suppliersQualifications:Education and ExperienceSecondary School DiplomaMinimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in similar role, preferably in the construction industry.Data entry experienceKnowledge, Skills and Ability RequirementsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written)Highly organized with ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentGood time management and decision-making skillsAble to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelinesPhysical DemandsLifting minimum 60lbsWork in adverse weather conditions (snow, cold, heat)Hourly Range: $20-$25/hr
