As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking a Solar Analyst Student for our Oakville office within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting in January 2023.As a Solar Analyst Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

  • Monitoring and reviewing SCADA data and prepares related analytics tools to analyze and interpret performance on solar projects.
  • Reporting to commissioning and field staff all irregularities in data, monitoring trends in project performance
  • Establishing new systems and processes and looks for opportunities to improve analytics tools
  • Coordinating with manufacturers and SCADA suppliers and interprets a variety of technical documentation
  • Supporting estimating with preconstruction efforts (e.g. design consultation, constructability review, project planning)
  • Assisting with designing, reviewing and/or validating solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other information
  • Ensuring continued awareness of the renewables market and on-going innovation
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
