Job Number : 40956Do you have extensive knowledge of maintenance management systems Do you enjoy researching and developing strategies for infrastructure maintenance management Are you a confident communicator with strong analytical skills Do you enjoy working in a collaborative team environmentReporting to the Supervisor, Business Performance and Analytics, the Strategic Analyst in Infrastructure Maintenance is responsible for identifying, planning, and directing the implementation of strategic improvements for current and emerging infrastructure issues.The Strategic Analyst uses their influence and indirect leadership of other users of the maintenance management system to coordinate tasks, identify root causes and develop solutions for errors or inefficiencies. The role also manages stakeholder communication, involvement, and expectations, in order to determine the scope of initiatives and sponsor the, in service of continuous improvement of maintenance activity performance.As a Strategic Analyst, your responsibilities will include:Overseeing maintenance management system processes and tools which govern all Infrastructure Maintenance activities, as well as identifying systemic issues and proposing solutions to leadersLeading research and developing strategies, policies, and procedures to continuously improve the performance of maintenance management processesDeveloping the scope of projects and leading them in order to improve business performanceConducting analysis on corporate financial management recordkeeping in order to identify potential misallocation of cost settlements and/or allocationsExecuting quality management system activities, including reviewing activity and cost records of maintenance tasks and indirect chargesSupporting program managers to develop and coordinate program specific quality monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with the planning and monitoring framework established for the sectionProvide technical guidance to employees in regards to maintenance management system processesQualifications :Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline; Computer Sciences and Business degrees are an asset4 years relevant experience in maintenance management systems, as well as maintenance planning and monitoring including budgeting and financial performanceMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP PMExperience in SAP PM configuration and integration points with SAP MM and FICODemonstrated cross-functional skills in Materials Management, Financial Supply Chain Management and Plant MaintenanceAccounting background and/or experience is an assetAbility to apply critical thinking, problem solving, and investigation skill in producing solutions for clientsKnowledge of continuous improvement best practices and change management principlesStrong relationship-building and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral, in addition to comfort and skill in facilitation and presenting to groupsAbility to be nimble and adapt to changing priorities, complex information, and issues in a timely mannerThe City of Edmonton is committed to inclusive, respectful and equitable workplaces that represent the communities we serve.
