TRIO (Translational Research in Oncology) is an academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research by pursuing forward innovative and targeted therapeutic concepts in the clinical trial setting. We are committed to providing treatments of the future to the world of today.TRIO’s head office is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with operations in the USA, France, and Uruguay. Reporting to the Manager, Information Systems and Applications, the position of Systems Analyst can be office-based in Edmonton or home-based anywhere in Canada.The successful candidate will be responsible to understand Clinical Operations business needs and translate users business problems into analytical terms, participate in the design and implementation phases for the solutions, as well as supply users with the support and understanding to use the system. We are seeking an individual who can work well under pressure in a busy client-focused environment. They must be able to work closely with the business at all levels to help deliver solutions.Responsibilities:Coordinate developments and implementation of new systems.Maintenance and administration of TRIO systemsEscalation support for resolving incidents and issuesAssess the impact of upgrades. Perform a risk assessment of the impact of upgrades and major changes.Conducting regular reviews with the business, identify system problems, and plan for solutions and improvement.Define and track enhancements.Troubleshooting technical issues.Managing system access.Follow up on the new features and functionalities of the system releases and communicate them to the end-user.Conduct regular training sessions and workshops on system processes for the End User.Creating system user guidelines and instruction manuals and follow the company policies, standard operating procedures, and standard guidelines to ensure the security and integrity of the company applications and databases.Run reports and provide them to the end-user regularly or whenever required.Close working relationships with Programmer Analysts, Data Managers, and users in the design, development, tuning, and problem resolution of database and applications services.Occasional evening and weekend support as required.Qualifications:Diploma in Computer Science or related field.Minimum 4 years experience in managing Information systems and applications.Ability to think critically and strong problem-solving skillsExcellent computer skills and a good understanding of networking technologies.Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.Strong communication skills and good people skills are required.Effective Project Management skills.Understanding of relational database concepts.Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.Strong teamwork skills while having the ability to work as an individual contributor.Experience with the Clinical Application would be considered an asset.What we can offer you:Competitive salary3 weeks of vacationLife, disability, health, & dental premiums paid by TRIOFlexible working hoursMonthly internet allowanceWe thank all candidates for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.p4JyljXIVAQuick Apply
