Highlights of the jobWe are hiring a Full-Time Permanent position working out of Edmonton, AB.EPCOR has an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy Systems Analyst to join our ADMS Support team. As the ADMS Systems Analyst, you will be accountable for completing assignments and providing your technical expertise for ADMS and Electric Office applications being used by EPCOR. This will include: achieving operational requirements for ad hoc support, ticket support, project enhancements, and being a resource for major capital projects. If you are ready to put your experience into action, apply today!What you’d be responsible forEstimating, designing, documenting and developing high-quality enhancements to EPCOR applications, primarily focusing on EPCOR’s ADMS system.Employing open communication and analytical skills to resolve operational issues effectively for customers within expected timeframes.Ensuring system reliability and availability through dedicated system monitoring, maintenance and change management.Assisting with the completion of Transition to Operations reviews and checklists.Overseeing root cause analysis on issues to mitigate and prevent future risk.Collaborating with the Application Services team, to create and maintain dependable, efficient, and high quality application solutions.Executing daily job duties with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems.Participating in Major Capital Projects as required.Providing positive contributions to documentation and knowledgebase to allow for the long-term sustainability of EPCOR Information Services.What’s required to be successfulSuccessful completion of a Computer Science or Engineering degree or a Computer Engineering/System Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute is required.A minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.Note: candidates possessing less than the required years of experience may be considered in a developmental opportunity position.Intermediate knowledge of Unix and Linux.Knowledge of the following would be desirable:Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Java, C#, APEX.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Web Application DevelopmentExperience in Azure or other cloud platforms/servicesComputer related certifications such as Microsoft or Oracle developer certificationsAbility to provide Quality Assurance on estimates, business requirements, application design and programming logic.Demonstrated ability to react with urgency to troubleshoot critical issues when faced with application availability situations.Previous experience with System Delivery Life Cycle using one or more common programming languages.As our successful candidate, you will demonstrate and establish solid working relationship with your peers and actively strive to efficiently fulfill customer requests and complete assigned tasks with a high degree of quality.
