Job Description

Expectation of 3-5 days in officePosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing various tax-related activities, including planning, compliance, and consulting services. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, senior leadership, and other team members to deliver high-quality tax solutions while fostering client relationships and driving business growth.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tax planning initiatives for clients, including analyzing complex tax issues and developing effective strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proactive tax advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of tax matters, including entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and tax implications of business transactions.
  • Prepare instruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations, estateamp; post-mortem tax planning, business succession planning, and the purchase and sale of a business
  • Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes to suggest proactive solutions to clients and Partners
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to identify opportunities for cross-selling services and delivering comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, responsiveness to client needs, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Canadian CPA designation required.
  • Has completed the CPA in-depth Tax Course
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience in a public accounting practice, with a minimum of three (3) years specializing in taxation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience in supervising and developing staff.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional client service orientation, with a dedication to building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
