ON and OFF the ICE.ROLE SUMMARY:OEG is expanding our video production department and seeking a wide range of talented individuals to provide new and engaging content for our fans. Our Team Reporter & Host will conduct day-to-day coverage of the hockey club in addition to hosting live programming on the team’s new digital subscription platform launching at the start of the 2022-23 season.YOUR FOCUS IN THIS ROLE:The Team Reporter & Host will work alongside fellow Reporter & Host Tony Brar to provide extensive coverage of the hockey club in both live and edited formats. The successful candidate will serve as the primary team reporter when the Oilers are playing at home, in addition to hosting live pre and post-game shows from Rogers Place when the Oilers are on the road. There will also be some opportunities to travel and provide team coverage for away games. The Team Reporter & Host will conduct interviews, participate in media scrums and availabilities, and produce game previews, recaps and practice reports.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in broadcasting, journalism, digital media or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in sports reporting with a preferred focus on hockey
• In-depth knowledge of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and the National Hockey League
• Self-motivated, multi-faceted digital content producer with excellent attention to detail
• Well-versed in video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro with After Effects and Photoshop experience
• Experience hosting live video programming with a proven ability to adapt and improvise
• Experience writing articles and working within a website content management system
• Ability to work under time pressures while maintaining a positive attitude within a tight-knit team
• Must possess a valid passport for potential travel outside of Canada
