Job Description

Low fares are important, but it takes great people delivering consistently outstanding customer-focused service to build brand loyalty.Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent full-time Technical Analyst to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The Technical Analyst will be a key member of the Digital/IT team and will be instrumental in supporting Flair team members and creating effective technologies that support our business. The role will actively partner with internal departments to define and solve business problems and then create solutions to meet these challenges.This position will be based in Edmonton, Alberta (Hybrid)The duties of the Technical Analyst include:

  • Building, designing, examining, and implementing well-organized and structured IT systems
  • Gathering feedback or responses from Flair team members in order to support continuous improve of system functionality
  • Meeting and communicating with stakeholders in order to understand and meet their requirements
  • Actively contributing to the Digital/IT team to build and implement technology solutions
  • Supplying advice and technical training to new employees on all IT procedures and processes
  • Providing expert knowledge to resolve IT issues
  • Running tests or investigations on all application issues and recommending and providing resolutions
  • Applying a range of technical expertise to examine and diagnose hardware and software problems
  • Providing hardware and software support including: user training; installation, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting for computer equipment
  • Contributing to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Providing enhancements to all applications, and providing support to all third-party
  • Alerting management when necessary for high visibility and critical issues
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Education Requirements include:
  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a technical support role
  • ITIL foundation v3 certified and or, Microsoft Certifications in any of the following: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) would be considered assets
  • Experience with the following core technologies would be an asset:
    • Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
    • Cloud technologies, Intune, Azure management would be an asset
    • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Possess a current working knowledge of relevant platforms, hardware interfaces, smartphones and applications
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot a variety of complex technical problems associated with computer hardware, peripheral equipment, associated operating systems and software
  • Technical skills must support the ability to configure computers and peripherals, support operating systems and purchased software packages, install necessary drivers and testing of functionality
  • Experience in Airport IT applications and/or technology is an asset
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
Required Competencies include:
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills working across all levels of the organization, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks and meeting required deadlines
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
