The incumbent will be responsible for consultative field sales activities – both generating and closing sales opportunities, necessary to maintain and grow business for Filtration, Compressed Air Purification and Dryer, and Heat Exchanger product lines. Our Technical Sales Representatives are responsible for overall customer satisfaction, while meeting or exceeding the territory sales and profitability targets.TERRITORY:Southern AB, Southern BC, and Southern SKDUTIESamp; RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for providing top quality field technical sales support to customers for filtration products and systems Prospect and generate sales opportunities and leadsEstablish and maintain professional business relations with new and existing customersService existing customers as well as new territory growthVisit customers to review productsamp; applications, evaluate and recommend custom filtration solutions to suit individual customer needsCRM managementParticipate in joint calls with managements, suppliers, and other division representativesContinuous learning/ supplier/ factory/ virtualRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS Essential: Post-secondary degree/ diploma in a technical fieldExcellent communication skills Minimum 1-3 years’ outside sales experience – industrial filtration products; preferred3-4 years’ experience with industrial system review and calculations A hunter mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processesMust demonstrate interpersonal savvy in order to build and maintain relationshipsExcellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.) Strong presentation skills and experience preparing professional PowerPoint decksValid Driver’s LicenseDemonstrated alignment with John Brooks values; customer first, ownership/accountability, respect, performance excellent, integrity and innovationDesirable: Working knowledge of industry products, systems and applications Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systemsWORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced environment in a dynamic competitive industryDaily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetingsExposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions Day travel to customeramp; supplier sites Long distance travel to customeramp; supplier sites, overnight travel as required – approx. 10% Ability to lift 50lbs, on occasionBenefitsCanadian founded and owned, John Brooks Company has doubled in size in the last 7 years to over 200 employees across the country.
